“I’ve got you” So they say. Seems like everyone has got you until The going gets tough. “I’ve got you” Always. Except always wasn’t all it cracked Up to be “I’ve got you” I thought I could make a home in your heart But I’ve been sent an eviction notice And I had to move, in the middle of the night “I’ve got you”. As a friend. Friends forever. Maybe that one is better. “I’ve got you”. No. I’ve got me. Nobody else has got me like I’ve got me.

Seeing that I did a Mothers Day version on Mothers Day it’s only natural that I do one for the Fathers on Father's Day right?Well, here goes! There are many fathers in the Bible but whether some are good or not is left for interpretation. I will share what I learnt studying some of the fathers in the Bible. Jethro Exodus 18: 9- 25 Jethro was a good father in law who saw Moses as one of his own. He brought his daughter and grandchildren to Moses and it was during this visit that he observed...

It’s 21:20 on a Wednesday evening And I realise that she needs to go. This image, this woman I expected to be by the age of 25. This image of perfection. She grew in my head, nurtured by the good words of others. ‘You’ve got this’ ‘You’re so bright’ ‘You’ll go far’ But maybe that was the problem; She wasn’t organic, She was man made. Grown in a culture of compliments with not enough dose of self belief. She would then graduate and join the company called comparison. Where...

I hope you're all making the most of this bank holiday because I know I am! Matter of fact I'm off to the theatre later today! It has been a while since I've done one of these posts namely because I haven't gone to the theatre in a while. Why? Have you seen the prices of tickets? I'm pretty fussy about seating and I don't like to crane my neck to see the stage so the tickets I like to go for are not cheap. When I can afford to go and sit in the place I like to sit then I go but of course if I...

Hey! If you haven’t read my Dubrovnik post head over there first as it’ll give a bit of insight to this post. We went to Mostar, Bosnia for the day as it’s not too far from Dubrovnik and we thought, why not? The first thing I noticed upon arrival is that the EU free roaming does not apply here so I quickly switched my data off. Aside from that there was a distinct difference between Mostar and Dubrovnik and whilst they are neighbouring countries they are different in their own right. We...

Hey I'm back with another travel post and this one marks my first holiday (of sorts) in 2019. I went with two of my girlfriends to Dubrovnik, Croatia for a week and I had a lovely time. Read on to find our more of what I got up to. Tuesday We actually arrived just before 12 noon which is before the check in time but we were able to get access to our room a lot earlier which is always nice. We stayed at Tirena Sunny Hotel which is 3* and a part Valamar Argosy Resorts and Hotels. They actually...

Happy Mother's Day! And if you're not yet a mother like me and you desire to be one in the future just smile awkwardly, say Amen and keep it moving (like I have been doing) :P. Mother's Day is a great time to reflect and show thanks to anyone who has shown you motherly love whether biological or otherwise. Because being a mother is more than just biology. I thought it would be cool to look at some mothers in the Bible and some lessons I got from them. Rebekah Genesis 25:28; Genesis 27:5-10 We...

She is the calm before the storm She is the storm in a teacup She is the cup that keeps on pouring Until She decides to stop or cracks. Whichever comes first. She is loud. She is quiet. She is sunshine on a rainy day And raindrops when the skies are clear She is light She is dark And any other hue in between That God graces her with And all are beautiful in their own right She does not need to dim her light She is in the recipes that have been passed down The photos that grace the mantelpiece...

How has your year been? Great, abysmal or a 'let's not talk about it' kind of year. Either which way you're alive! At least you must be to be reading this so that counts for something right? As usual I am back again with my annual end of your blog post. I've been a bit quiet on this blog and that is because I have been discovering myself offline which will reflect in due time online. So, what were some of the lesson I learnt this year? Hmm. Quite a few but I will try to keep it short and sweet....
