Early on in October my youngest sister turned 13 and it took me back to when I was 13. It's hard to believe that she is now beginning her teenager years. Time flies. I decided to write some advice that I wish I knew when it was my time but those are some of the cons of being the oldest. You go through the challenges, so the others don't have to. Sometimes. In any case here is some advice to my sister and anyone else who is on the cusp of their teenage years. 1. Know yourself Ok ok, you will not...

Happy Valentine's Day! It's an interesting day isn't it? Whilst we can all agree that it's been widely commercialised there's no denying that it manages to get most of us in our feelings-especially if you have no valentine. Why? I think it's because it's the one day that you are acutely aware that you are single hence this recent trend of it being known as 'singles awareness day'. Of course you may have been single the day before then and possibly the days to follow but theres just something...

Let's say you meet a nice guy who 'ticks all the boxes', somewhat. He's a Christian, just not a 'deep' one but at least he's a Christian so that'll suffice right? Wrong. Now, I am not saying that if you are not a Christian you do not have morals because that is just not true. There are some awesome individuals who are cool, lovely and nice who are also not Christians. My thing is it all depends on what you place value on. For some, having a generic understanding of Christ, observing the bible...

Hey everyone! How's it going? It's been a while but here I am lol. Before we continue this post will not be like my typical travel posts as it was a different kind of trip :) So, 2017 was the year that I first went to American-Houston, Texas to be precise! I went for my cousin's wedding which was great! My trip was a real whistle-stop tour (5 days) but I know that I'll be back for more ;) It'll be my second time staying in an air bnb on my travels and this one was ok. Prior to going to Houston...

What does it really mean to guard your heart? What does it mean to build up walls?

This is not the first time that I am seeing the quote but I feel that now more than ever it has become relevant to me. I'm going to go through each sentence bit by bit and really deconstruct it for the sake of clarity. I'll just lay a disclaimer that I do not know who actually created this quote, I've just seen it around on the internet.

So easy to say but to do? Another matter completely. I was prompted to write this due to a few personal events that made me realise that I was still a novice in the school of forgiveness. I really wrestled with it and I saw that this issue of unforgiveness was really holding me back.

I don’t want to fall in love I want to walk into it A few steps at first and then a marathon ahead I need to enter with my eyes wide open and my heart intact you can’t always rely on those things called feelings. I’ve been looking for love for a long time and my heart is not the best sat nav constantly leading me to dead ends and sometimes sending me over the edge It’s high time I used something else to guide me an ‘upgrade’ of some type forget the heart, I’ll use my mind that...

Hey everyone, Happy Mother’s Day! To present, expectant and future (I receive it Amen lool) mothers. So today I want to go back to basics. With some of the conversations I’ve witnessed and the opinions people have discussed there seems to be a recurring theme; love
