An old man ambles in. He walks in with a mission, determined to get a seat. Success. He sits down and waits impatiently, his face expectant. The look on his face is mirrored around the room. It’s not long before the murmurs begin and the requests come in. The man calls me over and asks, “When will it arrive?”. I gently reassure him that it won’t be long. Seconds turn to minutes and minutes turn to what feels like eternity. The faces change and some look displeased. Finally it arrives. A token of kindness to each individual.
I debated internally whether to share this post so soon or to wait a few more months. They say strike when the iron is hot so I thought I would just go ahead with it!
So my first year of university is over😀 . I’m happy to say the least and relieved at most. I think all in all it’s been a pretty good year. The good far outweighs the bad. I’m going to outline some of the things I learnt this year.
You know that phase between being a teenager and an adult? Yeah I want to call it ‘Growing pains’. At least that is what I am going through. The recent elections highlighted so many things to me. I can’t even say I was that clued up beforehand but in the months leading up to it I read up more on the different parties. It got me thinking about how the policies could possibly affect my future.
Hey! Apologies for my absence last week. I was at training and it overran. So much has happened this past week that I wonder if what I wanted to discuss before is still relevant. This week saw the entrance of a new government. To be honest I was indifferent. The only thing I’m happy about is that there is one party in power. Another coalition would have been detrimental to the progression of this country I feel.
What I wanted to talk about was a certain advert that got the whole nation talking. Literally.
